Colored scanning electron microscope image of a 3D architected carbon with beam size of 50 microns. The intricate structure in three dimensions with micro-scales is enabled by additive manufacturing and subsequent pyrolysis process. The structure is completely made of carbon, which can function as a electrochemical tool.
