3 Dimensional Cylindrical Vortex Shedding in Shear-thinning Non Newtonian Polyethylene Oxide at Reynolds number of 3900. This demonstrates the ability of polymers to hold low-Reynolds number qualities of Newtonian fluids at higher Reynolds numbers. Water would be turbulent at a Reynolds number of 3900, but here the polymer retains the vortex shedding at this number.
