    Warhol Rings

Robert Whittlesey
Graduate Student

This piece uses dye to visualize the creation of repeated fluid ejections that create vortex rings. The colored panels (false colored) show the vortex ring formation process approximately equidistantly during the formation cycle. The black panel is a composite of the colored panels to highlight the differences in the vortex ring ejection. One can see that the differences are most pronounced directly near the ejecting nozzle and dissipate downstream.
