A drop of silicone oil is bouncing on a vertically oscillating shallow pool of the same liquid. At an oscillating frequency of 50 Hz and an acceleration amplitude of 4.5 g’s , the drop bounces at half the surface's frequency and moves horizontally across the surface of the oil or "walks" as shown in the figure. This image was taken as part of Ae/APh 104c.
